BPM (Beats Per Minute) morning

I went and saw this French Film on the weekend, I’m very glad I saw it. It’s a hard one to describe, but I’ll give it a go.

Set in the early 1990s in Paris, a young man joins an activist group combating the government, pharmaceutical companies, and society to raise awareness, education and save the lives of those dying of AIDS.

It’s very in your face, but worth watching, it highlights a time in our not so distant past where ignorance and ignoring reality did not help.

Do yourself a favour and watch this film. Playing at select Dendy Cinemas now. I would definitely watch it again, as confronting as it is, it’s also very touching.

Directed by Robin Campillo.

Written by Robin Campillo and Philippe Mangeot.

Starring Nahuel Perez Biscayart, Arnaud Valois, Adele Haenel, Antoine Reinartz, Felix Maritaud, Ariel Borenstein, Aloise Sauvage, Simon Bourgade, Medhi Toure, Simon Guelat, Coralie Russier, Catherine Vinatier, Theophile Ray, Saadia Bentaieb and Jean-Francois Auguste.
